Welcome to the Travelling Red Hats!!!

We are based in the DFW area but we have members from all over the country. We all share at least one passion.... the love of travel.

Who are we? We are women who love to travel. Some of us are airline employees, some of us are wives or mothers of airline employees, some of us are retired airline employee or wives of retired airline employees, some of us are wives or mothers of military servicemen (some active, some retired military) and others of use just love to travel with other women.

When do we meet? Whenever we feel like it. Maybe lunch at the Gaylord Texan or maybe drinks at Esparza's. Maybe brunch in Frisco or maybe a day of shopping at a local mall. We have no set meeting day or time. When the mood hits and it sounds like fun, then we meet!

The one thing we all share is our passion for travel. We share our adventures (some good and some not so good but now amusing as we look back). We also look for new adventures and the stories they bring.

Where do we travel to? It all depends. We might do a day at the Museum in Dallas or Fort Worth or maybe we fly to Minneapolis for a day of shopping at the Mall of America and IKEA! Maybe we go to New York for a few days and take in a play or two. Maybe we head to California for a tour of the wine country or to Puerto Vallarta for the food festival. We might head off to New Orleans for one of their festivals or a cruise from Galveston. Maybe a group of us head off for an Alaska cruise while others head to Europe for a river cruise. One thing you can count on, most of us have either 1) just returned from a trip or 2) are planning our next trip or 3) we are on a trip. We all love to travel and we do!

Our travel agency makes sure that when we plan a trip if there are airline employee discounts or military discounts or senior discounts our members get those rates. Same for a hotel we might stay in say for our shopping trip to Mall of America or any other destination.

Who can join the Travelling Red Hats? If you are woman who loves life and loves to travel then we are a Red Hat group for you. And don't worry about being over 50. Lots of our members are under 50. We don't require you to wear a Red Hat, just something red if you are over 50 and pink if you are under 50....(and we don't check birthdates so wear pink or red, we don't care.) You can belong to another Red Hat chapter and still join us on our trips. We don't care as long we you love to travel as much as we do!
